BODYCOFFEE™ rounds out their line of coffee-based spa treatments with a strategic venture into the growing home/body fragrance sector. Their new Illuminating Coffee Candle has an organic soy base and fresh-brewed coffee scent. The Revitalizing Herbal Mist is an air and body freshener with the uplifting aroma of Moroccan rosemary, orange and mint. Both products contain the company’s namesake secret ingredient: coffee extract.

Why coffee?

“Coffee extract neutralizes and absorbs strong odors,” explains company co-founder Stephanie Profitt. “We created our mist and candle to maximize the effect of this surprising benefit.” Coffee extract is also an astringent, antioxidant and natural UV blocker.

In keeping with the character of existing BODYCOFFEE™ treatments, each new product is paired with a historical anecdote. The Illuminating Coffee Candle was inspired by the story of a Sufi sheik who overcame obstacles in his path to enlightenment by consuming an early version of brewed coffee. The Revitalizing Herbal Mist takes us to 18th century Arabia Felix, where the King’s Gardens prized the wild coffee shrub, an evergreen, for “breathing new life into the air.” Like the green leaves of the coffee plant, the Revitalizing Herbal Mist offers a sensation of pure refreshment. With an aromatic blend of essential oil, the Mist can be used as a hair, body or room freshener.
